Title: Wolfthorne - A simulated Game Boy RTS

Here's a thing I'm working on. It's a fake Game Boy RTS. Originally started for the GBJAM, but I didn't end up having enough free time to work on it.

The actual game itself is going to be pretty weird. A decidedly hard genre to capture with so few buttons and limited interface resources. Exciting.

I'm making an elaborate and fancy screen shader to simulate the feeling of playing on a Game Boy.

Few things it has:
-LCD ghosting
-Authentic super annoying screen glare! Move the mouse to adjust the light source
-Inset screen bezel shadow. That thing is the bane of any game with HUD along the borders
- Not finished but planned - little gaps between the pixels just like the ol Dot Matrix (Stereo Sound coming soon)

Currently rocks the DMG-01 palette, but I'll be adding other screen colors such as the lovely Game Boy Pocket silvery screen.

I am sort of looking for a pixel artist to help out. I decided I'd rather focus on the programming bit since I do art all day at work. It's a 100% chill hobby thing.. So if you read this and make pixels, hit me up!

That shader is seriously cool. I would love to have a walkthrough on how you did it. If you have time, and want to share, I think many people would benefit from a tutorial of sorts.

- Added a toggle for Game Boy Pocket screen colors
- Added a reflection of my face. Haha, sorry guys. My mug is stuck with you!. Actually, I'm pretty sure I can get webcam support eventually.

I realized I'm 6 months late.. but wooah that shader is amazing! Have you worked any more on the game since?

Can I see source code to learn?
