This would simply be the inverted color of whatever was under the image, I don't know if this can be done with the current blend modes but it seems to be a valid idea.

This is probably best handled with a shader using GLSL.  If I'm understanding this correctly, you want to dynamically invert colors of a sprite, or area of the screen?

Best way to describe it would be the cross hairs in Minecraft, the image wouldn't have it own color, it would just invert everything under it.

Ah, right.  I don't think this can be done with a BlendMode, it would have to be a custom shader I think!  I wonder how they did it in Minecraft though.
